I’ve been obsessed lately with fashion blog Kendi Everyday. There’s something about her secretary meets librarian meets chic all-American gal style that makes me giddy with stylish joy. And I noticed something on her feet in her last few posts: shoes from Payless. Yeah…Payless. I can’t remember the last time I graced the halls of a Shoe Source. Maybe on the occasional trip with one of my best friends who refuses to spend more then $20 on anything, but anyhow, it’s been a while.
So I followed one of her links to these cute black, wooden sole heels, but the reviews said they were insanely uncomfortable, so I started surfing. And then I found these from Zoe & Zac (which is a very environmentally conscious designer, if you didn’t know.) I first spotted them in the fantastic tan, and then I came across them in black. Both times, I stopped in my scrolling to look, when I realized they were the same shoe. If something stops you in your tracks twice, you know it’s a winner.
These are casual because of the canvas, so they would go great with short, breezy skirts, sun dresses and pretty, girly shorts (think scalloping, linen, lace, not cotton, twill or jean.) The zipper back adds a sexy, edgy element that I love. I think a super cute straw fedora or floppy hat would be a great add-on accessory. Oh, and a delightful gauzy scarf!
Check them out here (and read the great reviews!) for $29.99!
